BCW 600 Wide Wheelchair is extra deep and wide -- built to hold up to 600 lbs. Obese patients don't fit in the average-depth wheelchair (16",D) -- their center of gravity is positioned toward the front edge of the seat, often causing circulation and spine pressure problems. A deeper seat supports full thigh length, helps maintain circulation, and puts arms directly over the top of the wheels, enabling easier propulsion.
Seat is two layers of trampoline material, rated at 300 lbs. psi. Strong vinyl upholstery. Thick-wall stainless steel. Four-point telescoping at each corner. Double X-brace. Swingaway footrests. Removable padded armrests. Folds to 13", for transporting and storage. Finish is chip- and scratch-resistant baked urethane. 6", front casters. 24", tires and 5/8", axles.
